May 2025 was a terrible month for me as far as this project goes. I got food poisoning at the beginning of May and then midway through it I also got a cold both of which very rarely happen to me. Suffice to say that I was just managing to power through my daily tasks and then going to bed early until I was better. Unfortunately by the time that actually happened the month was over.
I didn’t manage to do any actual electronics work or learning but I did collect $5.90 worth of cans while doing errands and found 2 dimes by the pharmacy after buying some much needed Imodium.
The Tools
I purchased a small silicon mat for $4.09 and some de-soldering braid for $1 both from Aliexpress. The mat was needed to protect whatever I’m working on since I have to move by soldering around the house. I was iffy on purchasing the de-soldering braid since I already had a de-soldering pump that I purchased last month but I wagered I would need it too for certain applications if the other didn’t work.

Summary
